Alphas
Usually there is only one alpha, depending on if the one sees a mate fit for them, usually of different genders. These two rule together, this position can only be taken by an Alpha's child, or a Beta if a sudden death occurs and no children available. These two (or one) is dominant over the entire pack which means whatever they say goes, no questions asked. Their word is law.

Alpha Pups
They will be taught by the Alpha's themselves, rather than regular pups being taught by the Den Mothers. Only these wolves can become Alpha/Alphess. As they get older they can leave this position and join another, though they are giving up all chances to become Alpha/Alphess one day. That does not mean they lose their authority and respect. Those who wish to stay will keep training to become Alpha's until the pair step down.
Beta
These wolves are second in command, usually if both alphas are gone, they take control. There are one of each gender in the pack.
Beta Pup
Much like the Alpha Pup ranking. They'll be taught by their parents, and can leave this position if wanted. They'll become the next Betas if they don't leave.
Gamma
Wolves here are highly secretive, protective, and loyal to the Alpha's. They will go out of their way to protect them with their life, and help them. A male and a female will take this role.
Delta
This is the messenger of the pack, they go from pack to pack sending messages. Their lives are usually at risk doing so. In order to get this rank you must be brave, quick on your feet, good with your words, and patient.
Epsilon
These are the Guardians. These two make sure the pack is safe at all times, usually risking their lives. Although they are not expected to resort to violence at first, but rather talk it out. If that fails then violence is needed.
Zeta
This member is in charge of the wars that go on between pack (Though there can be one more depending on the size of the pack, if it is small there will be only one.). Although they are expected to listen to the Alpha when it comes to the wars. This/These wolf plan the wars, and lead them to victory.
Eta
Warriors of the pack, usually lead by the Zeta or Epsilon during wars (of course the Alpha no matter what). They are expected to fight in all the packs wars.
Lambda
These are the hunters of the pack, they must be loyal and respective. If they work together well enough they can be very powerful. They keep the packs diet healthy and provided for.
Kappa
This is the lead hunter of the pack, usually there's one but if the pack is large enough there can be two. They are expected to make sure everyone in the pack is well fed always. They lead planned pack hunts, or regular group hunts, following the Alpha's if there.
Psi
Usually every new member starts out here, it all depends on the alphas decision. Wolves in this rank are expected to prove themselves to a rank the alpha see's fit for them.
Omega
These are the lowest of the pack, they eat last and are usually the laughing stock. They are more likely to leave the pack if things start going down hill, rather than sticking it out.
Pups
These are the newborns of the pack, or younger members. Tho it does depend on how many are in the pack considering the pack's standards and/or health. They will stay here until their teenage years.
Den Mother
These are the caretakers of the pups, usually you can find them tending to them. To get this position you must be fairly kind and gentle, but ready to reason with anyone threatening the pups.
